Our artists this season delve into a variety of topics from personal family stories to allegories for the issues facing our world today. Told with humor, dance, and music, Tales of a Blerd Ballerina’s a bold new choreopoem that centers around cultural pride, comics & yearning in a world that limits Black & female identity. We weave concepts from the Afro-Diaspora and Jazz Aesthetics into stories of growing up as a child of the 90's while attempting to break generational curses.
